We carry a variety of toys for all types of birds. All of the toys that we carry are safe for your bird.
NOTE: The bird toys are as safe as we can find. There is no such thing as a truly safe toy for a bird. Since there is always one bird out there who will find some way of hurting itself on a toy, or anything else for that matter.

Bird Books & Magazines

We have a complete line of Barron's books. Barron's has a book that will provide you with some very good information for your pet bird, including titles that cover bird behavior. We also stock the current issues of Bird Talk magazine and Birds USA magazine.

Bird cages

     FFlocks carries a full line of birdcages. Hagen makes most of the cage line that we carry. We chose Hagen cages because of their durability, plus the good selection of suitable sized cages for the birds that are meant to go in them. There was one other very important reason that we chose the Hagen line, the spare parts! Just about every part of the Hagen cage can be replaced, with the exception of the wire portion. Spare parts are available for all of Hagen's current production of cages. We have quite a few spare parts in stock to fit most of the popular cages. These parts include: bases, trays, plastic tops, dishes, cage clips, cage hangers and wire grills.
    We also carry a complete line of Marchiaro cages from Italy as well as Blue Ribbon cages.
     We do not carry any round cages. We feel that round cages are not suitable for most birds. A round cage is very difficult to clean. No matter how you set up the cage the bird is always plopping on something below, like perches, dishes, etc. The round cages do not afford much room for any bird. If you compare a 16" round cage to a 19" by 11" rectangular cage for budgies you will see the difference. First, perch placement: for the budgie to sit on a perch and turn around without putting his tail though the bars of the cage, the perch should be at least 4" from the side of the cage. In the round cage this means that there is 8" between the perches and in the rectangular cage there is 11" in between. Unfortunately, in the round cage the budgie can only turn around in the center of the perch, as soon as he leaves the center of the perch his tail will make contact with the wire. This also applies to flying birds, such as canaries and finches, because the round cage requires that the perches are closer together, they have less room to fly. Second, if you put toys in the round cage, they immediately start to crowd what little space there is in the cage. In a square or rectangular cage you could hang a toy in all four corners and the bird will still have more room to move around than if you hung the same four toys in the round cage.

We sell a variety of used cages, for all types of birds. We would be happy to accept your old cage for re-sale or as a trade-in against another cage.
